ICT SPECIALIST

Reporting to the Information and Communications Technology Manager, the ICT Specialist will oversee IT teams as they maintain, upgrade and install computer systems, as well as provide all PBO staff with detailed hardware support and server, network and desktop software for ICT infrastructure operations. .

Primary Responsibilities Provide technical support, planning, consulting on user requirements, network connectivity, system installation and administration* integration planning and testing, optimization and tuning of infrastructure architectures and technologies, improving network and systems security of applications, including their evaluation and testing * Maintenance of the OBP enterprise resource planning (ERP) environment by providing and ensuring effective support of the ERP system for the company in conjunction with ICT officers and external service providers, including the system backup *Facilitate user training on ERP * Maintain OBP hardware and software environment * Manage server room and other key infrastructure facilities to ensure they remain secure, monitored and controlled to provide up and running continuous info systems rmatics and infrastructure * Ensuring secure network management, including hines client mac configuration * Ensuring regular web page updates are successful * Effective monitoring of Internet connectivity * Reporting on website access ( who accesses what) * User training and awareness on ICT security and policy and the required cascade of performance targets to drive operational success. *Responsible for the supervision and development of all staff reporting to him * Risk and Compliance Management to ensure the mitigation of the department’s risk profile through the application of fraud controls and risk prevention principles and the implementation of processes and robust governance and compliance tools to identify and manage risks * Drive compliance with policies and procedures aimed at strengthening OBP’s reputation and stakeholder interface.
Minimum requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in IT * * Valid CCNA and MCP certifications advantageous * At least five (5) years of technical IT experience in a Microsoft environment, including specific experience in the following: Microsoft Windows Server (2012) operating systems , 2019), Active Directory, Business Analysis, data backups of the MS Windows environment using Veeam, Office 365 and Exchange Online, SharePoint, System Center, SQL database management and scripts, ERP support (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Navision), network management, firewall administration, IT security, IP telephony systems and strong experience in MS Windows desktop support.
Remuneration: A Paterson Grade C4 remuneration package will be offered commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
