QC INSPECTOR
VACANCY : QC INSPECTOR
Good Day
DSES Currently has a short term position available for an experienced tank QC Inspector, API653 certification will have a advantage, while the position requires SAIW Level 2, Welding and inspection certificate is a mandatory requirement. The position is available is in Durban with an immediate start date.
Quality Inspector Requirements:
- SAIW, CSWIP or IIW, Level 2 (Certification required)
- Good understanding of API 650 for new build tanks
- Good understanding of API 653 for tank repairs
- Good Understanding of ASME VIII, Qualification Standard of Welding
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the Petro Chemical Industry
- Must be familiar with the Use of Procedure Qualifications Records (PQR’s)
- Must be familiar with the Use of welding Procedures (WPS’s)
- Must be able to determine the Non-destructive requirements form the client scope of work for the various packs
- Must be able to develop Method Statements from the client work scope and drawings
- Must be able to develop Quality Control Procedures from the client work scope and drawings
- Will be required to coordinate and obtain approvals for Method Statements, QCP’s and other project related documentation
- Must be familiar with the compilation of Code Data Books
- Project Location : Durban
