GENERAL MANAGER/ INSPECTOR
EAST LONDON SPCA
VACANCY: GENERAL MANAGER/ INSPECTOR
PRIMARY FUNCTION
- To ensure that the Society is compliant with the rules legislated in terms of the SPCA Act 169 of 1993 and all other relevant legislation.
- To build the brand of the East London SPCA in its area of jurisdiction as well as build positive relationships with its constituents and other Societies.
- To ensure effective financial management, administration and development of the East London SPCA.
- To ensure that the Society operates effectively for the benefit of the animals and that the highest animal welfare standards are maintained.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid SA Driver’s license and own transport
- Leadership / managerial ability; preferably with 3-5 years’ experience in a leadership position
- Experienced in working with animal health, welfare, etc (e.g. in a sanctuary, veterinary practice, volunteer organization)
- A qualification as a SPCA Inspector / Senior Inspector or be prepared to qualify within 6 months of appointment to the position per the NSPCA requirement for General Managers
- SAPS Clearance Certificate
