Discount Midas is seeking a General Laborer to join the team The purpose of this position is to perform general tasks such as merchandising and receiving, among others.
Requirements
Essential grade 12 / Enrollment
Computing
Must be honest and show integrity.
good communication skills
Capacity to work under pressure
Clear criminal record
Key performance indicators will include, but are not limited to;
BINNING / RECEPTION
Ensure that incoming merchandise sorting and inventory replenishment of bulk pickup locations are done in accordance with standard operating procedures and requirements.
Make sure new products are assigned with bin location numbers in the correct warehouse area
Ensure bins are up to date and stock assigned to new bin locations is reported to your manager and up to date
Assist in replenishment functions
Ensure that all incoming products are received and verified to company standards.
UPON PICK UP
Ensure customer and branch order picking is done timidly to meet order deadlines
Please ensure that pickup at bulk locations is only done as an alternate container when stock is depleted and not replenished in the pickup phase or when picking bulk orders to avoid breakage of package sizes.
Carry out all reasonable and legal job-related instructions given to you by your superior
Follow all relevant procedures to increase customer satisfaction efficiently
Assist in inventory procedures
Make sure cleaning is done daily.
Ensure that double checks are performed to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and avoid inventory loss
Ensure that established standard operating objectives are consistently achieved
SCANNER CONTROL
Deliver scanners to all operators daily.
Reserve scanners in the electronic application.
Receive scanners from operators, inspect the scanner for damage, and re-reserve stock in the eApp.
Report any damage to supervisor.
