Introduction
A new opportunity exists for a Security Officer for our retail store situated in Crown Mines, Johannesburg.

The successful person will report into the Store Manager/Security Supervisor and will primarily be responsible for the safety and security of staff and customers and for the checking of stock and customers purchases and items before they leave the store.

Duties & Responsibilities

Greet incoming customers and staff
Checking of customers parcels at exit points
Checking and recording of all incoming and outgoing stock
Checking customer purchases against the till slips
Searching of staff when entering and exiting the premises
Guard and monitor premises to prevent theft, property destruction, violence or rules and safety violations
Inspect the store and check for irregularities
Be a visible deterrent to crime
Identifying suspicious behaviour
Monitoring access to property
Taking action in emergency situations
Desired Experience & Qualification

• Clear criminal record
• Matric
• Minimum of 2-3 years experience as a security guard/officer
• Experience in a Retail environment advantageous
• Good communication skills
• Must be in good physical condition
• Be able to work retail hours and weekends (hours are from 8h30-17h00), working 6 days a week with 1 off day per week
• PSIRA accreditation
• Contactable references

Package & Remuneration
R28 per hour
