Homework:

  • Help with the preparation and scheduling of training interventions.
  • Manage driver training programs (in-cab and on-road) for new and existing professional drivers.
  • Carry out relevant assessments on professional drivers that include in the cabin assessment, benchmarking against company requirements/policies (short routes and long distances).
  • Develop and prepare contract specific addenda (including Safe Work Procedures and Planned Job Observations).
  • Report on all training interventions and submit documentation (including attendance records and driver evaluation documentation) weekly.
  • Ensuring that the vehicle is used optimally and addressing fuel economy, driving technique and other related queries.
  • Experience and knowledge in Training Code 14, 10 and 8
  • Keep records of the trainings carried out.
  • Conduct driving performance evaluations.
  • Accident repair training
  • Provide information for the development of training material.
  • Orientation and tutorial
  • Comments to the management about the training/performance of the students
  • Driver Assistance of the Year Preparation of training schedules Ratings
    *Grade 12 and Certification as Driver Trainer (Evaluator, Facilitator and/or Moderator)
  • Relevant accredited training.
  • The Evaluator and Moderator certificate and the TETA registration will benefit.
  • Valid code 14 driver’s licenses with PrDP; Knowledge and experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of previous truck driving experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of long-distance driver coaching and training experience.
  • Knowledge of TETA accredited training requirements would be beneficial.
  • In-depth knowledge of the operational and legal requirements of the transport and logistics industry.
  • Working knowledge/experience in Taut liner, Side tippers and Super link Trucks.
  • Working knowledge/experience of Scania, Volvo or vehicles manufactured by Mercedes-Benz.
  • Excellent English communication skills required.
  • Communication skills in Sepedi, Zulu and Sesotho will be advantageous. Email: hr@t-marc.co.za
