Pick n Pay is offering an amazing opportunity for unemployed youth nationwide to participate in a six-month UIF-Funded Learnership. All South Africans who qualify for this amazing opportunity are invited to apply.
Applicants should be under 29 years old and have a Matric certificate.
Participants in the Learnership will receive a monthly stipend of R3,500.
It is important to note that completion of the program does not guarantee job placement.
The program is SETA-accredited and will consist of
- 10 days of theory-only sessions and practical training in-store for the remaining duration, with the support of a dedicated in-store mentor.
- Monitoring and verification procedures will be followed throughout the program and final assessment and moderation will be applied.

Cashiers
To process transactions using our POS system, handling cash, giving refunds, and balancing the till. Maintain a clean working environment, upsell products and services where appropriate, resolved complaints, and make sure there’s high levels of customer satisfaction.
The Minimum Requirements
- Minimum Grade 10 is essential (Grade 12 is advantageous) and Computer Literate is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate in English, Numeracy, Communication, and Execution Process Instruction
- Client Orientation, Time Management ethical behavior, and Flexibility
- Prepare and manage the float and Operate the till and scanner correctly and speedily when checking out the customer’s purchases.
- Receive and process all forms of payment and transactions during checkout and Prevent waste/shrinkage, and damage.
- Maintain hygiene, housekeeping, and safe working standards, Adhere to and maintain security procedures, Operate and clean equipment according to laid down standards and Interact with customers and respond to their queries courteously. Apply Online Here
