Job Overview
SAICA trainee program within the Internal Audit department where you will gain relevant experience and exposure in all the different subsidiaries of the VKB group in the Free State. The successful applicant will be required to perform ad-hoc audits, routine audits, and other Internal Audit functions within the VKB Group.
Employment will commence in January 2025.
Requirements, Duties, and Responsibilities
- A completed B.Com Degree/ in the process of completing relevant B.Com Degree or in the process of completing a postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (CTA) will serve as a recommendation. Working towards becoming a qualified CA(SA), proficiency in MS Office with the capacity to work on Excel, and having a Valid Driver’s license
- Process documentation, Control identification, Business analysis, and System Analysis. Make recommendations to management on improving controls and Performing accounting and cost accounting functions (capture transactions, reconcile accounts, do tax calculations, draft financial statements, etc.).
- Data analytical Auditing, Rotation to different departments within VKB to get required competencies for SAICA and Regular travel will be required.

Bursary Description
This bursary is for students studying towards a SAICA-accredited qualification.
Effective date: January 2025.
Requirements Duties and Responsibilities
- In the process of obtaining a SAICA-accredited qualification and Working towards becoming a qualified CA(SA)
- Vacation work for three weeks at VKB Reitz once a year, a 3year SAICA trainee contract at VKB Reitz upon the completion of studies, and Renewal of the bursary will be dependent on compliance with the terms and conditions of the bursary contract.
