Are you an passionate and really motivated student who has a passion in baking and is ready to tackle the working world?
RCL FOODS is proud to invite dynamic and enthusiastic students to apply to be part of the Baking Learnership Program. We are searching for 15 learners who will be based in Pretoria West.
The learnership program will be for 12 months which involves a mentorship and coaching program that will cover the baking process and this is a SETA-accredited leadership and successful candidates will receive a formal Qualification that is endorsed by SAQA.
Learners will be exposed to practical work that is required by RCL FOODS and the SETA for the duration of the qualification.
About the Baking Learnership Program
At RCL FOODS, we are dedicated to nurturing talent and helping young professionals build solid foundations for successful careers. This year, we are searching for 15 ambitious learners to join our Baking Learnership Program. The program is designed to give aspiring bakers with a blend of theoretical understanding and practical experience. As a participant, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the baking process while working alongside industry professionals. This learnership is SETA-accredited and upon successful completion, you will earn a formal qualification endorsed by SAQA (South African Qualifications Authority), which will significantly boost your employability in the baking sector.
Through the Supreme Siyabhaka Academy, we have three main areas of purpose:
To nurture and develop the skills of individual learners, creating employable young professionals who are needed in the baking industry. To raise awareness of our baking brands as symbols of excellence and consistency, associated with top-notch skills, service, and products. To lead the industry by elevating the standard of in-store and professional bakery products overall, altering customer perceptions, and enhancing our customer relationships.
well the learnership program runs for 12 months and is based in Pretoria West, giving a unique learning environment where you will receive continuous mentorship and guidance from seasoned professionals. You will be trained on every aspect of the baking process from the basics to advanced techniques, making sure that you acquire skills that will make you stand out in the industry.
The program will cover various facets of the baking industry, including:
- Understanding baking ingredients and their functionalities, Learning the science behind baking and Gaining hands-on experience in baking different products, from bread to pastries.
- Exploring new baking trends and innovations and Understanding the safety and hygiene practices necessary to working in a bakery.
The Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 qualification with hospitality studies and maths (Lit) is essential and a Computer literacy (MS Office) is advantageous.
- Shows drive to achieve performance, Is willing to learn and grow creative, lateral thinking, and has a problem-solving approach
So the Baking Learnership is part of the Supreme Siyabhaka Academy, an initiative by RCL FOODS designed to promote excellence in the baking industry. As a learner in this program, you will become a part of a larger vision aimed at enhancing the standards of bakery products and services across South Africa.
